Feedback for

Sam Rivera

Northwind Logistics

Feedback is a gift. Sam has asked for yours.

Late, but still very welcome

  • About 15–20 minutes of quiet time. It needs some real thought.

A note from Sam

I'm asking a few people whose view I trust for honest feedback. I'd value yours, especially on what I could do better. Helen will read it and help me make sense of it.

— Sam

Helen Marsh is Sam's mentor for this round. There are no ratings or scores. This is solely for personal growth.

Most people underestimate how much others want to hear what would help them. Sam asked for exactly that.

You'll be asked three questions.

  1. 1What they do well

What do you value most about working with Sam? What are they great at?

  2. 2Your advice

What advice would you give Sam to improve and grow?

  3. 3Anything elseOptional

Is there anything else you'd like to say to Sam?

How your feedback is used

Your feedback is anonymous and bundled

  1. 1

    It's anonymous and bundled.

Your name is removed and your feedback is combined with everyone else's. You can choose to include your name if you wish.

  2. 2

Helen Marsh, the mentor, reads it as written.

Sam's mentor sees all the feedback exactly as you wrote it, and which part of the circle each comment came from, but not who wrote it.

  3. 3

    Sam gets a summary only.

Their report is a summary of everyone's feedback, focused on the key themes. It may include positive things you've said, quoted word-for-word. Who doesn't appreciate a nice quote!

When you review your answers, and if you use “Sort into the questions”, AI reads them to suggest follow-up questions. Nothing is kept beyond the round.

More about privacy
  • Sam and Helen Marsh can see whether you've finished, so they can send reminders. Taking part and declining look the same to them, and they'll never know which comments are yours.
  • Helen Marsh sees which part of the circle each comment came from (leaders, peers, team, or people outside the organisation), to read it in context. Where a group has only two or three people, that could hint at who wrote a comment. Helen Marsh is asked not to try to work it out, and Sam never sees it.
  • Raw feedback is deleted after the round ends, normally 30 days after Sam and Helen Marsh have their conversation.
  • While you write, your answers are processed by AI to suggest follow-up questions and to sort pasted notes. Your drafts are never kept.
  • At the end, you can choose to share your comments with Sam in full, with your name. They would appear word for word in a separate section at the end of the summary, after Helen Marsh has read them. It's off unless you tick it, and if you don't, nothing here changes.

Guidelines on great feedback

Aim to assist

Give feedback because you want them to succeed, not to vent or score points. Say how a change would help them or the organisation.

Actionable

Focus on what they could do differently: the behaviour, its effect, and what better looks like.

Read all four principles

Adapted from the feedback principles described by Reed Hastings and Erin Meyer in No Rules Rules (2020).

  • Write in English or Arabic, or mix the two.
  • Your answers save as you go. You can come back using the same link.
