Terms of use
Draft
These terms are a draft. They will be reviewed before the service opens to everyone.
1. About these terms
These terms apply whenever you use Feedback Assist: to run a round, to mentor one, or to give feedback. By using the service, you agree to them.
2. Who runs the service
Feedback Assist is a free service run by Benjamin T. Cooke, an individual based in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
3. Using it fairly
Use Feedback Assist only to seek, give or guide genuine feedback that helps someone develop. In particular:
- Don't harass, threaten or abuse anyone, in feedback or anywhere else.
- Don't use a round to target, discredit or build a case against someone.
- Don't pretend to be someone else.
- Only invite people whose contact details you're entitled to use.
- Only mention other people's personal information where it's needed to make your point.
- Don't try to identify who wrote a comment, or to get around the privacy protections.
4. What you write
You're responsible for what you write. Contributors keep their words; they let us store and process them to run the round, and agree that positive comments may be quoted word for word in the Seeker's summary.
5. A free service
Feedback Assist is free and provided as it is. We'll do our best to keep it running well, but we can't guarantee it will always be available or free of errors.
6. Removing content and closing accounts
We may remove content, stop a round or close an account if these terms are broken, or to protect someone. Where we can, we'll explain why.
7. Limits of liability
As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, or for decisions anyone makes based on feedback given through the service.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and the federal laws of the United Arab Emirates.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is significant, we'll tell account holders before it takes effect.
